The Network Designer works closely with Planning and Design, Engineering and RNOC teams to ensure the Core to Edge Network and customer Services are documented accurately, completely and kept current through the change management process to enable accurate troubleshooting and network maintenance. Document all Commercial Services Network and Customer elements and design in the designated design database of record Granite. Document all Regional Transport Network, Metro Optical Network, Video, and Edge Network designs are documented in the designated design database of record Granite. Process includes development utilizing and researching necessary requirements and design elements within various systems (example; Sales Force, INC, SAM, STORM, Big Brother CTM, Remedy, MARS, Sharepoint, CLONES, Granite and Web Xng.) in order to design the circuits appropriately. Responsible for the development and negotiated strategy of interconnection and implementation of UN-bundled Loops, Test and Order processes between MFS INTELENET and the Regional Bell Operating Companies.

Responsibilities include the procurement, central office engineering, design, implementation, maintenance, and management of all Digital Cross-connect Systems (DCS) within Teleports network. Planned, ordered, designed, and engineered as well the Field-testing of the (DACS) interconnections of equipment and facilities to the 5ESS switch. The build and testing of the facilities at the DS0, DS1 and DS3 levels in support of the DCS machines in the network. Support Sales, Project Management and Marketing Staff from a technical perspective, in order to assist these departments in the creation, pricing, and sale of new service offerings.

AT&T INTERNATIONAL WORLD BILLING, MORRISTOWN, NJ

 

Responsibilities included focusing on the needs of AT&T's international business partners and customers for the delivery of technical consultation support for the analysis and resolution of network related problems and providing network operational design improvement recommendations. The object of this consultative effort was to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the client's Switched Message billing capabilities and to implement a collection system by providing attached processors to each switch and building a Data Network to collect from each switch the AMA information for processing at the clients billing department. Planned, scheduled, and performed testing of the systems and process’s for the billing collections and customer billing records as an output of the collection process. Managed a multinational team of fourteen (14) engineers from the Philippine’s and USA.

Designs were accepted and implemented within the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Network.

 

 

STAFF MANAGER - NETWORK ENGINEERING 1964 - 1991

Responsibilities included the creation of software design and system Architecture for access capacity of ASR's. Provided the Methods and Procedures for the Access Service Request process for ordering of service ASR's between inter-exchange carriers and ILEC's.  Deliberated with, ILEC's and Bell-Core to complete the Access Service Request project transition to Bell-Core on schedule.  This information became the documentation that the Industries Open Billing Forum would use for over a decade.  Developed the code set still used today for the Network Interfacing between IXC's and the ILEC's. Performed extensive testing of the ASR System and the processes in which it was used between the LEC’s and the IXC’s. I managed sixty engineers and consultants who provided the working requirements and day to day processes for Access Service Request’s.
